About Me

Jambo!

I’m Don Mooney. Thus- DaMoonman. I’m a freelance photojournalist in the Fort Worth/Dallas area. Currently full-time status at the University of North Texas in Denton.

Being naturally curious (a laymen term for ‘nosey’), being a photojournalist is a perfect fit for my profession. The real aim, which I hope is for most journalist, is to communicate the “cold-blooded truth.”

As well as a trained journalist, I’m an acomplished drummer. I have no preference to styles. I’ve even changed my opinion about C&W music! Fortunately I’ve had a chance to play some of every style, yet I feel a real comfort when it comes to R&B and Jazz. Currently my focus is on academics. During the summer months I normally get a chance to get back to my musical roots.

My greatest joy would be to communicate both media throughtout society in a meaningful way that will inspire those whose path I cross. I hope you enjoy this blog. I’m new to this, but I hope to use it to communicate many of my other passions that are to long to post. If you hang around long enough- you’ll feel me.

I enjoyed your site. The photos really speaks profoundly. Thanks for your contribution through music and your eye to capture history through the eye of the camera.

    Don,

I have been trying to contact Anitra Blayton for over a week to offer her the opportunity to apply to be a DART Station Artist for two new stations extending the Blue Line in SE Dallas in out nationally recognized Art & Design Program. Her website email bounces back andI I have received no reply from her TCCD email address and office number.

If you have any other means to contact please do so IMMEDIATELY and send to me as soon as possible any contact information you have.

On a side note, you may be interested in DART’s priority for our stations to express the cominities that thestations serve.
