San Antonio,Texas—Except for encounering the wrath of hurricane Dolly on the first day, it was a good weekend to run the track. Whenever you talk about the state meet in any competition you’re gonna compete with the best any state has to offer. Texas being a large state means the competition will be fast and fierce.
This years TAAF state track meet finals was held in the Alamo City. Fortunately for the teams from the metroplex, they faired well. Particular the Fort Worth teams. MLK center in Stop Six,Texas brought home some first place medals in the boys and girls 10 -12 and under and the boys 12 and under 100-meter dash.
Como track also faired well with a 3rd in the boys 16 and under 400 m relay. While Jai Smith took first in the 200m finals. Several of the young ladies did well in field events. What follows is a brief photo essay of the events that took place this past weekend.
